As such, we are looking to appoint an outstanding VP of HR, Americas, who can shape and deliver transformational change within this progressive organisation.
Responsibilities:
- As a key member of the senior leadership team, this is a hands-on influential position with both an operational and strategic bias, where you will proactively lead the people agenda for the business.
- You will be required to lead generalist HR activities aligning HR accurately with the business objectives. and will act as a catalyst of change and create a progressive HR people framework. This will include leading all union/labour and legal activities, alongside all appropriate employee relations initiatives.
- You will challenge the HR function, be required to influence a range of senior level stakeholders and operate as the face of HR on the Board and understand where HR can add significant value to the commercial agenda.
- Lead and oversee all HR activities and develop and champion effective change management for the organization, driving sustainable business improvements.
- Your brief will be wide ranging where you will have accountability for multi-site across the entire US region where clearly people, organization and cultural development will be a vital component delivering the improvement necessary to compliment growth plans.
- You will lead a committed HR team and provide a day to day business partnership service in a market where year on year growth is a given.
Requirements
Person:
- Roles of this type are rare and we are looking for an individual who can demonstrate an acute appreciation of contemporary HR tools and techniques and critical insight and who wants to make their mark in a formidable organization.
- Ideally SPHR qualified or Degree qualified, you will have a highly successful track record in generalist HR and will enjoy an environment where standards are high and where improved organizational performance and profit enhancement is a business imperative.
- Your expertise will have been gained working most likely in a high profile dynamic fast paced culture within most likely a complex best in class manufacturing or engineering organization, where you will have strong labor relations expertise.
- You will have experience of conducting a multi-site role in an international framework and as such, you may well be working in a range of best practice industries i.e. automotive, aerospace, food and drink, oil & gas, retail, logistics, general engineering, hospitality, telecoms etc. or similar world class sectors.
- You will have strong experience in generalist HR and have strong competency in leading all union/labour and legal activities, alongside all appropriate employee relations initiatives.
- You will challenge the status quo and demonstrate critical insight and will be expected to lead high impact change initiatives linked to the values and culture of the organization.
- The requirement is for somebody who understands a global footprint including working with different cultures, time zones etc. The role would most likely suit an individual who works in a mid-sized or large organization, albeit with the absolute requirement to be agile, nimble and responsive and who understands how to grow a business.
- Intuitive, tactical, commercial and credible in equal measure, you will have a passion for growth and will be distinguished by your abilities to achieve excellence in the people agenda.
