- Sr. Human Resources Business Consultant (hybrid)
Description
The Sr Business Consultant HR leads the planning and execution of strategic Human Resources initiatives for TSPMG. Serves as both a broad-based business advisor and a Program/Project Manager in partnership with TSPMG HR leaders & other key executive sponsors and business owners to drive innovation and achieve high-priority business objectives and outcomes. This position typically manages 3 – 5 projects in any discipline that falls within Human Resources concurrently with multiple cross-functional resources per project. Projects generally span 6 – 18 months in duration and may require engagement of 3 – 5 VP/Associate Medical Director sponsors per project. Supports ongoing committees and workgroups to implement new or improved services and programs. Position takes accountability for all project work; functions independently with very minimal guidance.
Major Responsibilities/Essential Functions
- Provide consultative advice and direction for projects; provide Program/Project Manager leadership for complex, multi-disciplinary project teams.
- Establish and maintain collaborative, results oriented working relationships with executive sponsors, business owners, peers, and other key stakeholders across the organization. Serve as thought partner and business advisor to leaders at all levels.
- Assess organizational issues and recommend project approaches to address issues, influence direction, achieve outcomes and champion innovation wherever possible.
- Leverage broad knowledge of applicable system modules and other vendor systems to support projects and initiatives.
- Organize, advise, and partner with key stakeholders in developing organizational targets and planning HR initiatives.
- Demonstrate Program/Project management leadership skills and ability to drive planning of work scope, work approach, team structure, work plans, analysis plans, communication plans, implementation plans and sponsor management plans.
- Responsible for overall scope, schedule, direction, and budgets for all projects; facilitates project team, workgroup, and sponsor meetings to drive for results and meet timelines within budget; demonstrate proven track record of managing multiple complex projects simultaneously.
- Demonstrate ability to organize, deploy, and motivate diverse project teams.
- Understand and link complex multi-dimensional issues to effectively develop and manage project plans.
- Lead project analysis, including identifying, requesting, analyzing, and interpreting relevant data.
- Facilitate communication and change management between interdisciplinary groups; exert influence to expedite problem resolution.
- Contribute positively to team environment and continually seek ways to enhance personal contribution.
- Oversee activities of consultants, analysts and external vendor partners on project and provide feedback, as necessary.
- Provide ad hoc orienting, training, educating, and mentoring of new consultants/analysts.
- Responsible for collection of data as well as analysis, critical thinking, and reporting.
Requirements
Minimum Work Experience and Qualifications
- 4+ years consulting, project management, and/or team supervisory experience. In select cases, candidates with less years of exceptional, directly applicable experience may be considered based on overall qualifications.
- Solid understanding of traditional HR functions and ability to integrate and balance basic HR principles with innovative initiatives
- Demonstrated leadership ability with proven record producing results, satisfying customers, reaching. performance goals and motivating and incenting staff required.
- Demonstrated ability to determine the key business issues and to develop appropriate action plans from multi-disciplinary perspectives.
- Experience organizing, overseeing, motivating, and developing project teams and department staff members.
- Familiarity with use and interpretation of quantitative reports and analysis.
- Analytical skills utilizing Microsoft Office applications or similar applications in order to analyze large volumes of data.
- Proficient with the use of Excel and databases as well as typical data warehouse structures.
- Excellent facilitation, communication, and presentation skills.
- Ability to envision, create and implement new program design.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and teamwork abilities.
- Experience working with senior level managers and physicians.
Preferred Work Experience and Qualifications
- Business strategy, planning, operations, and health care experience preferred.
- Project Management, Change Management, or Process Improvement training and/or certification.
- HR Certification (PHR, SPHR, or similar)
- Compensation Certification (CCP or similar)
Minimum Education
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, Public Administration, Healthcare, or related field.
Preferred Education
- Master’s Degree in related field
