Description
Pay: $30.00 - $35.00 per hour DOESchedule: Monday - Friday | 7:00 AM - 4:30 PM
We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Diesel Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess advanced diagnostic and repair abilities, a strong work ethic, and a commitment to delivering high-quality service.
Responsibilities:
- Perform advanced diagnostics, troubleshooting, and repairs on diesel engines, transmissions, electrical systems, hydraulic systems, and aftertreatment systems.
- Conduct preventative maintenance inspections and services on heavy-duty trucks and equipment.
- Diagnose and repair engine performance issues using diagnostic software and specialized tools.
- Repair and replace components including brakes, suspension systems, steering systems, HVAC systems, and fuel systems.
- Complete accurate documentation of inspections, repairs, and maintenance performed.
- Ensure all work is completed in accordance with manufacturer specifications and company safety standards.
- Mentor and assist junior technicians as needed.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Communicate effectively with service advisors, management, and customers regarding repair recommendations and vehicle status.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5 years of diesel repair experience; Master Technician-level experience preferred.
- Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills on heavy-duty diesel engines and equipment.
- ASE certifications preferred; Master Medium/Heavy Truck Technician certification strongly preferred.
- Experience with diagnostic software and computerized troubleshooting systems.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and repair procedures.
- Valid driver's license required; CDL preferred or ability to obtain one.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
- Ability to lift up to 75 pounds and perform physically demanding tasks in a shop environment.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
