Description
The Delaware County District Library is seeking to hire a full-time Human Resources Specialist to support the Library’s day-to-day HR operations. Reporting to the Human Resources Coordinator, you will manage the recruitment lifecycle, maintain employee records, assist with benefits administration, and ensure policy compliance across all Library departments.
- Recruitment: Manage the full recruitment lifecycle for all Library vacancies.
- HR Support: Process transactions, maintain system-wide staff records, and provide day-to-day operational support.
- Benefits and Compliance: Assist with benefits administration and rigorously track compliance with HR policies and procedures.
- General Assistance: Provide day-to-day technical and administrative support to all departments and ensure consistent application of personnel rules.

Requirements
- An associate’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field is required; a bachelor’s degree is preferred.
- Two to three years of progressively responsible human resources experience is preferred, or any equivalent combination of education and experience that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
- Public sector or nonprofit experience preferred.
- Ability to work days, evenings, and weekends as required. The schedule may change as the needs of the Library change.
- Ability to travel between Library locations as needed.
- Regular and predictable attendance is required.
