As a full-service fire protection company providing 24/7 emergency service, Getz Fire specializes in safety solutions in Illinois, Iowa, and Missouri. From fire alarm systems to special hazard fire suppression systems, our products and services are designed with your property, employees, and customers' safety in mind. We design, sell, install, inspect and service all types of fire protection and life safety equipment including fire extinguishers, fire alarms, kitchen hood and duct cleaning, restaurant suppression systems, backflow testing, special hazard suppression systems, exit and emergency lights and more.

Company History

Getz Fire Equipment Company has been a recognized leader in the fire protection industry since 1957 when Melvin Getz first opened the doors with determination and enthusiasm. During the first 43 years, Melvin expanded and diversified the company into a multi-million dollar business. In January 2000, Melvin Getz retired selling the company to his son, Rod Getz, who continued to expand the business for the next 21 years.

Rod retired in September 2021 selling and transferring leadership to his sons, Jesse and Jason Getz. They continue with the same commitment to quality and excellence that our customers have become accustomed.

Getz Fire Equipment Company sells only the highest quality products and provides excellent service. Rod Getz maintains an open mind concerning business opportunities and is continually looking for ways to diversify and grow. Getz works with residential, commercial, and industrial clients – anyone who is in need of fire protection and/or hood and duct high-pressure cleaning.
