We are seeking a qualified Human Resources Business Partner to assist in supporting our Pacific Northwest region (including California, Oregon & Washington States).  Reporting to the Area Human Resources Manager for the PNW, you will contribute to the design, support, and delivery of our HR strategy, processes, and policies.  This position will reside in our Redmond, WA, office. 

What you’ll get to do:

  • Participate in regional HR initiatives to achieve corporate strategic goal including ownership of designated special projects.
  • Execute full cycle HR Business Partner activities (i.e., exit interviews, site function reviews, investigations, interviews, training compliance, onboarding, employee relations, unemployment claims) and other assigned tasks.
  • Partner with management in support of their HR needs.
  • Integrate and partner with colleagues in Talent Management, Compensation, Legal and Employee Services to deliver solutions and execute on tasks.
  • Partner with Labor Relations on union contract and employees matters.
  • Advise and counsel management in area of Company policy, employment standards, local, state, and federal employment requirements, and related legislation.
  • Regularly provide on-site business support to management and employees.
  • Continuously improve employee engagement, experience, performance, and retention.
  • Work with managers and employees to address all types of employee relations issues, fairly representing all interests.
  • Review data to identify trends and make recommendations to improve business performance.
  • Advance the Company’s diversity and inclusion goals.
  • Support the Company’s leave and accommodation processes.

Who we are looking for:

  • Bachelor’s degree with a Human Resources focus or equivalent post-secondary degree in combination with HR work experience.
  • Minimum 4 years’ experience in a Human Resources generalist/business partner role.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate and influence effectively within all organizational levels.
  • Knowledge of local, state (CA, OR, WA), and federal labor and employment legislation.
  • Proven analytical and data-driven approach.
  • Effective communication and problems solving skills.
  • Consistently bring an optimistic, energetic, and solution-oriented approach.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (immediate level of Excel).
  • Experience with Workday, SAP, JDE or other HRIS system a plus.
  • Previous experience working in a union work environment an asset.
  • Someone who can travel a minimum of 25% of the time.
