Human Resources Information Services (HRIS) Supervisor (Hybrid Work Schedule)

The HRIS Supervisor in Human Resources Services will be responsible for overseeing the effective operations of the Human Resources Information System while supervising the day-to-day planning and direction of a team of HR Administrators and support staff to ensure the required service levels, standards and targets are met and/or maintained. The HRIS Supervisor will oversee the processing of all employment documentation, ensure appropriate tracking and auditing procedures are in place for payroll processing and work with HR & Payroll Staff to troubleshoot operational issues and bring about effective resolutions. Consistent with Department of Education and Early Childhood Development and Halifax Regional Centre for Education policies, the HRIS Supervisor will work within an accountability framework to ensure clients are receiving appropriate service levels that respond to the needs of the system. Working collaboratively within the Department, the HRIS Supervisor reports directly to the Coordinator, Human Resource Services.
Qualifications:
(a) University Degree or College diploma in Human Resources, Business Administration or acceptable combination of relevant training and experience;
(b) Minimum three (3) years experience in human resources and/or payroll administration combined with a solid background in database management;
(c) Experience working within SAP Human Resources/Payroll module or similar HR/Payroll systems;
(d) Experience in a leadership role such as a Team Lead or Project Leader considered an asset.
Salary:
This is a non-union Professional Employees Group (PEG) position with a salary range of $64,941.50- $85,235.71 on the NCR 8 salary scale.
