The HR & Volunteer Services Assistant plays a key role in supporting the people who make True Friends' programs possible. This position helps ensure smooth onboarding, accurate records, and a positive experiences for staff and volunteers. If you're organized, detail-oriented, and enjoy helping others succeed, this role offers hands-on experience in human resources, administration, and volunteer coordination within a mission-driven organization.
Schedule: Seasonal, Early June - Mid August 2026
Locations: Annandale, Maple Lake, and Eden Prairie, MN
Pay: $15.57
What You'll Do:
- Facilitate onboarding and assist with completion of new hire paperwork, including verification of supporting documents
- Collaborate with leadership to report and manage work-related injuries
- Provide organizational information and guidance during orientation for staff and volunteers and offer ongoing support throughout the summer
- Maintain accurate and confidential staff and volunteer records within databases
- Coordinate evaluation processes and gather employment feedback
- Partner with departments and leadership to achieve organizational goals
- Update, distribute, collect, and analyze survey data; prepare reports and present findings
- Engage as an active member of camp and volunteer communities
- Support specials projects, assignments, and other tasks as assigned
Requirements
What You'll Bring to the Table:
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- Interest in gaining experience in Human Resources, Administration, or Volunteer Coordination
- Some experience with administrative tasks and general computer knowledge preferred
- Strong motivation to learn, adapt, and work independently
- Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing

Physical & Work Environment Expectations:
- Work in both office and program environments
- Sit, stand, walk, and use hands/fingers for administrative tasks and interactions
- Routinely use standard office equipment such as computers, phones, copiers, and scanners
- Communicate effectively with staff, volunteers, and leadership
