The Human Resources, Communications, and Employee Health Services Division is currently seeking a dedicated HR Specialist to join their team! This role will involve providing leadership and support to the work of the leadership team by implementing strategic initiatives and projects, providing advisory services for critical decisions, leadership engagement events and programs, and special projects. This work is conducted in a highly exciting, dynamic, teaming environment within the department and across the Division.

On any given day, one may be called upon to:
  • Lead significant programs and projects with a broad scope, ensuring an integrated systems approach
  • Create and implement strategic human resources solutions that support mission objectives and partner closely with HR management and mission leaders
  • Provide subject matter expertise and leadership of other staff members
  • Conduct research on specific topics and provide proposals and advice on options and directions.
  • Plan, design, and implement cross-functional initiatives
  • Recommend innovative approaches, policies, and procedures to continually improve efficiency and services performed
  • Develop measures, metrics, and reports that determine the overall efficiency of HR initiatives, processes, and procedures and better advise business decisions
  • Assess and evaluate organizational performance to demonstrate impact on mission results
  • Develop new principles, concepts, and practices and apply them to complex or strategic issues or significant problems
  • Provide analysis of information, trends, and goals on a corporate level

The salary range for this distinguished position is $99,700 to $139,860. The selected candidate(s) final salary will be determined based upon education, experience, internal equity, and location.

Required:
  • A Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, or a relevant field, plus 12 years related experience; or equivalent experience and/or achievements that demonstrate the knowledge, skills, and ability to perform the duties of the job
  • The ability to acquire and maintain a DOE L-level security clearance

Desired:
  • A Master's Degree is Human Resources, Business, or a relevant field
  • Deep knowledge of human resources theories, principles, practices, processes, systems, and procedures, and an understanding of HR as an interrelated system of functional operations
  • Strong quantitative, analytic, problem-solving and project management skills
  • The proven ability to address complex human resources issues and to strategically collaborate with and influence partners
  • Experience working with management and executive teams, and providing high quality customer service
  • Demonstrated experience with change management methodologies, practices, and principle
  • Experience with use of lean thinking for problem resolution and project planning
  • Proficiency in facilitating work of multiple people and groups to build strong agreement on the problem statement, considering system thinking, and actions to resolve
  • An excellent understanding of and experience with continuous improvement concepts
  • Proven relationship management skills and experience establishing rapport, trust, and confidence with key partners
  • Experience working in a fast-paced, team environment
  • Experience working independently on multiple assignments or engagements
  • Strong writing, communication, facilitation and organizational skills
