Description

Hartford Union High School has a key leadership position available in the District as the Executive Director of Business Services and Human Resources.  The position leads the District’s business operations including, but not limited to, Buildings and Grounds, Food Service, Technology Services, and budgeting.  The position will also lead the HR functions for the District including recommending and implementing legally sound and effective human resource management programs, policies, and practices.  The position is exempt working a full year (260 days).

All qualified candidates will be expected to:

 - Administers the District property and casualty insurance program.
 - Oversees all operations of Human Resources.
 - Purchasing and Asset Management.
 - Oversees the bidding for, purchase, receipt, delivery, identification, control, warehousing and disposition of District property, equipment, and supplies.
 - Develops an efficient, accountable requisition and purchase order process.
 - Implements, and maintains an accounting system that meets generally accepted accounting principles and DPI reporting requirements.
 - Designs and implements rules, procedures and forms that will assure accurate and timely recording of financial transactions.
 - Develops, implements, and ensures compliance with state, federal and internal audits, federal and state claims, and reports.
 - Presents complete and accurate monthly financial reports to the Board. 
 - Establishes procedures for measuring, recording, and reporting District liabilities.
 - Develops, implements, and monitors procedures for accurate and timely payrolls.
 - Develops, implements, and monitors procedures to assure accurate reporting and immediate deposit of cash receipts.
 - Ensures timely and accurate payment of District obligations.

Requirements

Education

Required
5008 - School Business Administrator.
M.A./M.S. (or higher) from an accredited college/university with at least an undergraduate emphasis in business, finance, or accounting.

Preferred
M.A. in School Business Management.
B.A./B.S./M.A./M.S. in Human Resources Management or related field.

Licensing

Required
Must hold or be working towards the Wisconsin DPI 5008 License as a School Business Manager.
Valid and in good standing WI driver’s license.

Work Experience

Required
Experience as a School Business Official/Manager, or equivalent experience.

Preferred
Three or more years as a School Business Official.
Experience working in the area of Human Resources.
