The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in employee relations, thrive in complex environments, and serve as a trusted advisor across departments and locations. This is a high-impact role focused on investigations, policy development, and proactive relationship-building.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and manage employee relations cases with discretion, fairness, and legal awareness Advise senior leaders on workplace practices, compliance, and conflict resolution Strengthen and evolve internal policies to support a respectful, high-performance culture Ensure consistent application of employment standards across departments and locations Support union-related matters and labor relations with confidence and clarity Prepare documentation for audits, legal reviews, and internal reporting Serve as a resource for sensitive, high-impact employee concerns Qualifications:
Requirements
7+ years of progressive HR experience, with 5+ years focused on employee relations Advanced knowledge of employment law and HR compliance, including multistate regulations is a MUST (NY, VT, D.C. preferred)
Proven success managing investigations and resolving complex workplace issues Experience in union environments preferred
Strong communication, negotiation, and decision-making skills
Ability to lead with professionalism, empathy, and confidentiality
Comfortable working independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, high-visibility role
