- Senior Human Resources Generalist

Position Summary:
The PCW Management Center, a single-family office located in Mystic, CT, is recruiting for an experienced Senior Human Resources Generalist to support a growing team of 80+ employees across 6+ multi-state locations. The ideal candidate will have strong, demonstrated experience developing, administering, and leading all functions across the HR-spectrum.
This position qualifies for a hybrid remote work arrangement with the employee expected to be in-office three full days per week.
Position Responsibilities:
Compensation and Benefits:
§ Manage benefits programs. Assist with annual review of all benefits programs (insurance programs, etc.), conducting cost/benefit analysis, and recommending course of action. Serve as primary liaison throughout the year between benefits providers and staff
§ Lead salary benchmarking initiatives. Prepare annual review of industry wages and salary by identifying and researching appropriate salary surveys
§ Responsible for payroll reporting and payment process
Compliance and Operations:
§ Maintain and manage the HR files, HRIS system and payroll system, ensuring data integrity
§ Ensure compliance with various federal, state, and local labor laws
§ Manage HR audits (worker’s compensation insurance audits, Department of Labor audits)
§ In concert with our legal partners, maintain and update policy and procedures manuals and employee handbooks. As necessary, identify and draft relevant policies/procedures for inclusion in the manuals and handbooks.
§ Develop, maintain, and update HR-related documents (i.e., org chart, performance review forms, etc.)
Employee Life Cycle:
§ Manage the HR onboarding process (state and federal tax and I-9 paperwork, social security number verification, benefits paperwork, and payroll setup) as well as the offboarding process
§ Draft and update job descriptions
§ Lead and administer the annual review process
§ Work with management to document and resolve employee performance issues, including developing and administering coaching plans
§ Seek ways to improve and formalize HR department functions and procedures; identify and address gaps in HR department
Employee Relations & Engagement
§ Advise employees and managers on HR policies, employee relations, and conflict resolution
§ Lead investigations into employee complaints, disciplinary actions, and workplace concerns, ensuring fairness and compliance
§ Identify and implement projects to support employee engagement, satisfaction, and retention
Strategic HR Support
§ Partner with leadership to support organizational change and workforce planning initiatives
§ Analyze HR metrics (turnover, engagement, absenteeism, etc.) to provide insights and recommendations
Requirements
Required Qualifications:
§ Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Organizational Psychology, Business Administration, or related field
§ HR Certification (SHRM-CP/SCP, PHR, SPHR)
§ Minimum 7-10 years of progressive HR experience
§ Experience administering HRIS and payroll systems
§ Demonstrated experience with employment law compliance and best practices
§ Superior organizational skills, attention to detail and ability to prioritize
§ Must have the ability to manage multiple projects and tasks simultaneously
§ Ability to work independently and as part of a team
§ Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Preferred Qualifications:
§ Master’s degree in Human Resources, Organizational Psychology, Business Administration, or related field
§ Experience with Bamboo HR and Paychex Flex
